  About My Topic :
Endangered Animals of TEXAS

I am a real animal lover.  I enjoy nature and all of its dimensions, especially wildlife.   There are so many interesting animals who make Texas their home, just like us!  It is sad to think that some animals are endangered and may not be here very long for  us to enjoy.  This also means that these endangered animals will no longer be a part of our local ecosystems.  Learning about these animals  will give us the opportunity to see Texas in a different way, and give us the opportunity to become familiar with these amazing creatures before it is too late and they become extinct.  I hope that this topic will allow students to learn ways to actively help these animals.  My goal is to encourage a deeper appreciation for the natural wonders that our great state has to offer, as students learn about endangered animals!

About Me

I am a junior at the University of North Texas and I hope to graduate by December of 2007.  I plan on teaching 2nd or 4th grade bilingual education after I graduate, and I hope to work my way to become a 3rd grade bilingual teacher.   My ultimalte dream is to teach in a two-way bilingual program where all students learn two languages.  I think that learning two languages or more is AWESOME!!!!!

My wonderful family is really excited about the completion of my degree.   I have a big family at home who supports me as I finish my studies.  I live with my husband Abdón, my two daughters Abigail and Alejandra, and my mom who we call Abuela.  I also have three great doggie friends at home, who cheer me on by wagging their little tails when I am up late doing my homework.  Their names are Jack, Princess, and Spot.
