I Love Student Organizations

Are you involved? You should be, seriously, they're not lame. Well, there will always be some that are. But for the most part you can't go wrong in picking one to plug into. This is the only time in your life where you'll be surrounded by organizations that will bend over backwards to serve you, teach you, and connect you with others, so take advantage of it!

So what happens in a student organization?

• Increase your network of friends (some may be possible business contacts) both in number and in diversity (that can be hard to do elsewhere).
• Sponsorship from the organization. Which means you can advertise your cause and events on campus.
• Career opportunities, "real world" experience, through things such as meeting presentations, conferences, field trips, and job fairs.
• Learn more about your field of study.
• Participate in national competitions against other student organizations.
• Student perks! Receive special discounts on software, resources, conferences, and seminars.
