About My Topic For my topic I chose the area of geography and social studies. This will give the students an opportunity to learn more about the area around them and it will also aid them in knowing different physical features. The software lets them recreate there city and it even gives them opportunity to make up a new community. The websites listed give the teacher another way to teach students on mapping there community by using different programs such as power point and GIS. So overall, the software and websites gives the teacher and students many ways to map a community. About Me My name is Erika Kelley. I am 21 years old and I’m currently a junior at the University of North Texas. I'm one of five, and I’m the first born girl. I have a twin sister that attends the University of Texas at Arlington. She to like me is an education major. I have known since kindergarten that I wanted to be a teacher, plus being a teacher runs in my family!!!!
