"My secret garden's not so secret anymore..."
- Depeche Mode, "My Secret Garden"
They call me: Jennifer Erin Jones
Age: 25
I was born: Heidelberg,
Germany
I currently reside in: Fort Worth, Texas
These people pay me: Randstad
I expand my consciousness at: University of North Texas.
Someday soon, I hope to have: a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality
Management
The current look: I am 5 feet, 5 inches tall (I WISH I could change that as easily as my hair colour, but alas... *sigh*), and at the moment, I have short straight light brown hair (back to my natural colour, yay!), blue eyes, an icthus tattoo on the inside of my right wrist, and a celtic knot tattoo on my right shoulder. I also have my tongue pierced. I used to wear a LOT of black clothing, and while I still like it, I'm also finding myself attracted to brighter colours too. As a matter of fact, I bought a YELLOW t-shirt today!
Here's some things that really EXCITE me!
Rollerblading, kite-flying, concert-going, and chatting on IRC (although not NEARLY as much as I used to), Depeche Mode, and vampires (though I don't believe they really exist), especially the Vampire Lestat. I like reading, especially all kinds of fiction, mysteries, and Stephen King. I like dogs, iguanas, snakes (I used to have one, but he died), paintings by Monet, sculpture by Isamu Noguchi, the beach - and I mean any beach, anywhere, but especially the Gulf Coast of Florida, Monty Python, warm weather, thunderstorms, Irish music (for that matter, anything Irish), my Doc Martens, sleeping outside, plain M&M's, 80's retro music, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Tom Cruise, tall skinnny guys who play synths, sauerkraut, Slinkys, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, skaters, hot showers, button fly jeans, lemonade, the X-Files, chewing gum, Airwalk tennis shoes, In Living Color reruns, Lisa Simpson, Sunny Delight commercials, flying on airplanes, swimming, champagne, Urban Decay nail polish, staying up late, slow dancing, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Beakman's World, Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, purity tests, going dancing in clubs, eye candy, Starburst Fruit Chews, MTV's Daria, Comedy Central, slam dancing, AND my LATEST DISCOVERY, pineapple juice. YUM!
Here's what else I love: God. Yes, that's right, I am a Christian and a follower of the Roman Catholic faith. Now many people may think that conflicts with the fact that I'm fascinated by vampires and Gothic music and pop culture, as evidenced by the list above. I will tell you what I know to be true. I AM A SINNER. The one living God is the creator of everything, and HE LOVES and FORGIVES me whether I'm singing at Mass, or dancing in a club in Deep Ellum. Our God is a God of laughter and fun and JOY, and HE does not desire to see us hurt. School shootings break God's heart. Casual sex, abortion, drugs, and abuse of our brothers and sisters in Christ breaks God's heart. Anything that tears down, rather than building up, breaks God's heart. HE loves YOU TOO! "Beloved, let us love one another, for God is of love, and everyone that loves is born of love and knows love." 1 John 4: 7-8
Well, I think it's pretty awesome. :)
IRC relationships, ferrets, rats, spiders, mowing the lawn, cleaning the bathroom, aspargus, snow, sinus infections, high school cheerleaders (or anyone else who thinks they are ALL THAT), people who don't shower, bananas, dealing with my bank, people who say they'll call and DON'T, caviar, grapefruit juice, therapists who abuse your trust, tequila, Volvos, and going to the dentist. And I'm not giving you any of those links. If you feel the need to read about such subversive topics, you can look the links up your self. :-P
Let's go BACK.
