Welcome to my world...my name is Erin, and somehow you have managed to
navigate yourself to my little piece of the World Wide Web. If you have
landed here by mistake, stay awhile...you might find something interesting
or inspiring! If you're here on purpose, then you DEFINITELY will,
because you have probably talked to me at some point and begun to get an
inkling of just HOW MUCH FUN I REALLY AM!
For starters, I have already told you my name is Erin. That's actually my
middle name...the whole thing is Jennifer Erin Jones, but I use Erin
because every other female child born in 1975 was also named Jennifer.
When I went to kindergarten, I began to go by Jenni, because a nasty boy
in my preschool
class had informed me that Erin (Aaron) was a BOY'S name, because it was
HIS name, and therefore, I couldn't have it. I was a real crybaby then,
so I went home and refused to answer to Erin anymore. But, by 6th
grade I had gotten over it, and I went back to Erin. This was partially
because like I said, every
other girl in my class was named Jennifer, and partially because I
realized Erin was a really cool name, it meaning "Ireland" and all.
*grin*
I'm 25 years old, and I live in Ft. Worth, Texas, where I've lived
since I was 9 years old. Before that, I lived in Cleveland, Ohio.
Cleveland is where my mom grew up, and it's where most of her side of my
family still lives, though there are the stray relatives in Florida, North
Carolina, Illinois, and California. My dad grew up in Ft. Worth, and this
is where most of his side of my family lives. So how did two people from
Cleveland, Ohio and Ft. Worth, Texas meet and get married? Well, they
served proudly in the United States Army of course! My parents met and
married in Massachusetts, and were then sent to Germany, where they
welcomed me into the world at 5:56 pm on July 26, 1975.
I could keep writing ALL DAY about myself, my family, my life, and the
things I like to do, but I think at this point I'll let you off the hook.
If you care to know more, you can read it all on my info page.
