Austin touched the lives of everyone he came in contact 
with.  I miss his presence in my life, and I thank God
for letting me know such a wonderful person.

	

I was using Yahoo to search for "testimony" and I found 
this wonderful memorial.

Austin's absence must be painful for his family and 
friends...it even depresses ME.  I wish that there were
more people like him everywhere I go (just to keep me
on the path).
I am certain that he is now close to the Lord, and to
those that love him - even if we are on the other side
of the veil.

I was blessed to know Austin when he lived in the small
town of Nacogdoches.  He was a very special man and I 
will always cherish the memories of him.  

Austin, was my dear nephew and I miss him very
much.

This is incredible! The outpouring of love in these letters
is such a blessing - such a powerfully positive feeling.
I never knew Austin but had the pleasure of meeting his 
parents when they were in MS a few weeks ago. If Austin
was anything like them (and how could he not have been?)
he must've been an awe-inspiring witness for God. Even
in death he's still witnessing, touching lives, making
an impact on people who never even knew him. To his 
family and friends: keep it up, keep the faith, keep
the fire that Austin had alive in your hearts. And 
keep this web site up! 

Austin is my big baby brother.  I think about him 
smiling at me every day.  It is hard for me to
talk about him to other people, because I 
begin to miss him dearly.  I have to remind myself
that I will see him shortly!  I am well pleased with
the race my brother has finished.  I am very proud 
of my brothers.  I called them "my boys"  when I
was little.  They will always be "my boys."  I love
my family very much.  But, most of all, I love God
with all of my heart!

I don't really remember Austin, but I am told that Mae
Beth and I used to be great friends when we were little.
I feel your loss, however, and my prayers go out to you.

Praise God. Allthough I've never met Austin,I see the effect he's had on his family every thursday night in my cell group, with his brother Drew. Austin truly fulfilled God's purpose for his life, and I am inspired to do the same. Though his torch has died, his impact is still spreading like a wild fire. Jesus said, "My brothers are those who do the will of God." Thank you for this awesome web site.

I have never met anyone who regretted following Jesus.

I never knew Austin, but my family is blessed by having
met the Land family.  They are wonderful and loving, and
most of all, they are each, without exception, madly in
love with Jesus Christ.  They all seem to glow with the
love they experience from their Lord and that love and
glow spills out onto everyone they meet.  I wish I could
have personally known the young man who has brought so
much to so many people.  He has his hearts desire now - 
he's with his Lord, his heavenly daddy.  I know that
fact brings peace and a smile to his family and loved 
ones.  And best of all - his testimony still lives on!

Austin's life and message is a great blessing.  

I myself lost my mother in a car accident recently although it was not due to a drunk driver. 
I just want to declare my solidarity with your family and share in your prayers.
At the time of my mothers death one of her friends came
by the house and she said something which has stayed with me since then..
which is that love is eternal and remembering how my mother raised us
always demonstrating unconditional love I feel in my heart that it is true.
Perhaps if more of us lived our lives always reaching out with love and from 
the heart then it we would live in a kinder gentler environment and reduce the 
unnecessary tragety such as your family has experienced. Perhaps I am not as 
religious as some who have left messages, however
I do believe in God and his unconditional love and 
compassion for us all.  I believe his great gift to
us all is the ability to love and show compassion for 
those around us, and in striving to make a difference 
even in our immediate surroundings comprises what I believe
to be the true meaning of success.

I met Austin 3 years ago and he always made me laugh
at or about something.  I will always remember the 
smile he had on his face and the smile he put on 
everyone elses.  Do a CHEER for the Lord Austin,

Austin's testimony is a MAJOR encouragement to LIVE 
EVERYDAY for Jesus.  It's Jesus' love that compels me to
share the TRUTH, the WAY and the LIFE I've found in Him.

Wonderful tribute to an apparent loss to this world.

We only knew Austin through our son Jeremy until we
found this page.  Now we know him through the words
and testimony of many witnesses, just as we know our
God and His Son.  Austin radiated the Light of the
world in his life, and continues to do so in death.
Praise be to God! 

I cheered with Austin for 2 years in 94 and 95.  
We argued everyday, but we really enjoyed each
other.  I miss Austin and wished I would have kept in 
touch with him when he moved to Denton.  I obviously
missed a huge growth in his spirituality.  I know he is 
happy with the Lord and one day we will meet again.

The awesome testimony of Austin and the attitudes of
the Land family was an encouragement to me even before I 
had actually met the Land's.  I have been truly blessed
by seeing Jesus in Drew's life and the way he continues 
to share the exciting story of his brother!  Praise the
Lord for He is Good and His Love Endures Forever!!!

such a tragedy. I know Words are not sufficient .... The
heart knoweth it's own feelings.

I had the honor of meeting the Land family and grew to 
be friends with their daughter MaeBeth.  They truly are
an amazing family.  You can tell their closeness to 
God just by looking at them; they shine with the love
