4660/5660 Group Project:  Molecular Visualization in Biochemistry
presented by
Heather Shepheard, Racheal Suggs, and Liwen Yu

We chose to present several biochemical and pharmaceutical applications of molecular visualization.  Many biological functions depend on the actual shape of the compounds involved.  "Lock-and-key" processes are very common:  substrates fit neatly into enzymes, or stimulants into receptors.  Molecular visualization programs are a wonderful way to illustrate these relationships.

If you can't see our molecules, or if you'd like to learn to make your own presentations, see our modeling and visualization resources page.
