homepic.jpg (6688 bytes) It has been over fifty years since I was first invited to make a dance…..for my sixth grade assembly program. God Bless Miss Gilmore for recognizing that I was light of foot. And God Bless Olive McCue, my first ballet teacher, who told me I should learn everything and judge nothing. I am sure that Miss Gilmore and Miss McCue would be pleased to know that I am still light of foot and still making dances. The paths that my restless feet and curious mind have discovered are many and amazing. I have learned from some of the world’s finest teachers, danced beside some of the world’s best dancers, and made dances for thousands of other restless feet. I am in Denton, now, where the University of North Texas has accorded me the honor and privileges of full professorship in recognition of my years of field research, my ongoing professional and teaching accomplishments, and the three academic degrees I am fortunate to have acquired along my way. The Office of Special Projects at the University of North Texas has recently set up an account “For The Support of Applied Research in Dance” under my supervision. It’s first project has been the preparation of two of my students to perform a duet of mine, “Ear to Stone”, at the Festival Off D’Avignon in July, 1998. For future projects I hope to include the facilitation of lectures, master classes, residencies and new productions of existing works as well as the crafting of more new dances. I am new to this world of cyber-communication but I think you might be interested in my activities. I hope you will enjoy these pages.                                                   my e-mail is clouser@unt.edu
