Purpose of Site: This site, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, offers information on special education law (IDEA), agencies and resources for educators and parents (both national and state) and information on specific disabilities.
Recommended Sections: Under “Our Publications,” check out links for Disability Info and Resource Lists (the latter gives techniques and strategies for teaching students with specific disabilities); “State Resources” contains a list of agencies and organizations that can help parents and teachers of children with disabilities; “Zigawhat” is an interactive web space for kids with disabilities to connect with other kids, improve their learning strategies, and have fun in the process!
